Okay, I’m a blogger now.

Okay, so here I am.

I’ve got thoughts, opinions, and view points that I want to share. Its my right and desire as a human to let myself be heard. Not that I’m smarter or better than the next person, but I believe that, after Scripture, learning from each other is the best way He guides us.

So what’s with the name? Dynamic Obedience? What does that mean?

I refer to ideas brought by people like Peter Gomes, Dallas Willard, Richard Foster, and even, in a sense, Ron Paul. The basic idea is that in this world, we define freedom and the liberty to do what we want and when we want. I feel that idea of freedom is utterly wrong. Look at the economy right now, investors and CEO’s did whatever they want, and suddenly they are in a very tight place where they won’t be able to do “what they want.”

Freedom comes only out of obedience of the Law fulfilled by Christ. And at the heart of that law are too simple commandments: Love God and love others. Now, there are alot of things underneath that, but it all starts here. Love God and love others. If we obey these commandments, suddenly we will experience true freedom, and that, my friend, is dynamically different from the world today.

Well, thats me in a nutshell. This blog is not so I can update you on my life or anything like that, but to express the movements and passions of my heart. Hope you enjoy!
